Day 10
We didn't have the best night ever.
We went to bed early, around 10pm, and I could hear loud music in the distance. I thought: this is a party. I fell asleep and woke up on alert. It was 12:30am. The music had grown louder, much louder, uncannily louder. I pipped through the curtains. Surely, here were 5 big guys in the star crowned memorial, less than 50m away from our van and Goliath-Olli. I slid on the driver seat, I put my shoes on, I was ready to get the engine on and move faster than those drunken guys could think. And we waited without making anything that could attract their attention. Half an hour later, they packed and left the place. Shoes off, back into bed, I fell asleep fast but ready to re-awaken in emergency. The rest of the night was uneventful.
In the morning we talked about the incident with our neighbours. They had come to the same conclusion regarding the best course of action. Keep low, be patient, let these guys who don't know what to do with their lives find other people to bother. Because we were not the targets. All the village must have been bothered by their boom-boom, and a few villages before, and probably a few more villages after.
